PREREQUISITE(S): This course is restricted to sworn law enforcement that are School Resource Officers or whose primary job responsibility is working in schools. This course provides a more in-depth look at investigating human trafficking cases. A pre-course assignment will be sent to students approximately 30 days prior to the start of the course which must be completed and returned to be allowed entrance into the course. March 2023 POST Work Session & Board Meeting | Colorado Peace Officer Students are required to bring the following equipment: shotgun, duty pistol, 750 buckshot rounds, (250 must be duty buckshot, 500 can be any other buck or birdshot target load) 100 slug rounds, 200 pistol rounds, three magazines for the pistol, duty belt, holster, magazine pouches, handheld flashlight, and other range related equipment which includes participant's individual medical equipment (rescue inhalers, EpiPens, etc. "What You Do Matters" examines policing within the legal and political framework of Nazi Germany-- a journey that eventually turned those who should protect life and liberty into those who intimidated, humiliated, deported, and eventually murdered millions of innocent people. Through the use of hands-on exercises, students learn the steps in the photographic process, basic camera operations, selecting correct exposure and shutter speeds, controlling depth of field, the proper way to take crime scene photographs and other topics. The course hours will be adjusted on day 2 of the course to still allow for an 8 hour training day. SOC 275: Native American Studies (3cr). This course prepares students to function as semi-automatic pistol instructors. Peace Officer Basic Training - California RADAR and LiDAR case law will be presented and reviewed.
