I think it is unprofessional to seat a group of 4, take our order and then rush us to finish when the food has not even arrived because youd rather have a slightly bigger party. Fantastic views if you get a window seat-we had a booth nearby so could still look out. I refused to pay the 1.50 so this was removed (reluctantly) from our bill. When we challenged the service she repeatedly said we are busy and short staffed - which didnt look the case, however even if it was surely attending to a customer who has asked for help is more important than clearing an empty table? If we were going to have to move, wed much rather move to a business that is happy to have us and allows a reasonable amount of time for our visit. Won't be back. Overall a pleasant visit, let down by only a couple of minor points. Not bad value for money and should I be in the area I would probably return. We ordered sundries tomatoe and chilli pasta, it was so dry we couldnt eat it, the salt and chilli chips were dripping in oil. The inside is clean, relatively well presented and nicely decorated. I've never known a mixer to be more expensive than the spirit . I approached the till area only to be scolded at ( stand by the far counter) when eventually someone came andasked if it was take away or sit in.. then as there was a vacant table at the window and ready for customers we asked if poss could we sit there, enroute the girl was then told ( that table has now been reserved) and wanted us to sit by the front door on a dirty table full of other dishes and cutlery.. where we refused and left..very disappointed.. Lunch came, the soup was so thick you could stand a spoon in it so rather than make a fuss we asked for a cup of hot waterto add to the soup - we were later charged 1.50for said hot water.
