We had our wedding at the Branford House 9/21/13 and it was terrific! They all make you feel important! The grounds are spectacular, so many great places for photos. Creating heartfelt, moment-driven photographs for relaxed, laid-back couples who want to enjoy their wedding day. I'm only upset that there weren't any appetizers included in the leftovers because I was having too much fun to eat any. The staff at Ocean Blue Catering and Branford House are very gracious and wonderful to work with. three years and The Woodwinds has been nothing but helpful in making sure we were cared for as we work together from separate states. Compared to another similar location also owned by the State of Connecticut, and also located right on Long Island Sound - we absolutely hit the jackpot with The Branford House. They were so easy to communicate with. Our guests are still raving about the food! Everyone we worked with from sales, to day of coordinator, to servers, to the bridal attendant was absolutely f Our wedding was perfect. The woodwinds is a beautiful place from the elaborate fountain out front to the lavish gardens and waterfall in the back. However, Sergio came to the rescue and suggested we use the Fireplace Room for our ceremony. They transitioned from visible to invisible as need be. We had both our ceremony and reception there. The staff Is simply AMAZING. The inside of the venue looks extremely chic as well, group shots on the staircase looked amazing! The price point was fair and their packages pack a great value. The grounds were impeccably manicured, and the planting selections were simply beautiful. The outside ceremony space was gorgeous and intimate. The personalization th My fianc and I just recently booked our wedding here for next summer! Randy was an excellent event planner. We lucked out with the best weather and were able to have our ceremony outside on the lawn. When my now husband & I locked in this venue, we worked with Vanessa. Or, if preferred, you are welcome to invite your own desired vendors to this esteemed location. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was always making sure we were fed, happy and had something to drink! Everyone loved the food from the hors d'oeuvres to the main course to the ice cream bar. The venue is gorgeous inside and out. They are a team like no other and move as a well oiled machine. The terrace and lawn were recently renovated and look gorgeous. The food was incredible the drinks were great the staff made you feel welcome all around an amazing time had by all. Randy then took over and it was so smooth! I am so glad that we could have a backup plan work out so well. We are very excited to have our wedding there is coming march! A big advantage of hosting a Branford House Wedding is the fact that it is not an all-inclusive wedding venue. She was more helpful than my bridesmaids and I am very grateful. Literally we were in awe the whole night. Having an on-site getting ready option is really nice convenience for brides and their bridal party making your logistics of the day much simpler and less stressful.
